We're delighted to announce our cohort of PLIX Creative STEAM Learning Interns!
Back in December 2024, PLIX was awarded a Social Impact grant from the MIT Office of Experiential Learning, to create an opportunity for MIT undergraduates to address STEM equity in public library communities and help build authentic connections through co-design and learning.
This internship offers valuable training in Facilitating Creative Learning and collaboration with our 2024 - 2025 cohort of PLIX Ambassadors—14 talented library professionals across the U.S. The interns will learn about the ambassadors' local library communities' needs and interests, helping to co-design hands-on creative STEAM learning experiences that bring people together in new and familiar ways. The collaboration runs from January through May 2025, culminating during MIT's Spring Break week. During this time, interns will travel across the country to co-facilitate activities, document their work, and, afterwards, share their reflections on the experience.
These four MIT undergraduates, passionate about how learning happens, bring their curious and creative minds to support our existing Ambassador Program and enhance their own academic experience at MIT.
